Hybrids Named in Golf World 2008 Hot List

Bobby Jones Players Series Hybrids have been named on Golf World magazine’s 2008 Hot List, continuing the clubs’ track record of achievement and praise. In the annual rundown of the best 12 hybrids on the market, the magazine praised the innovation in Jesse Ortiz’s design. The reviewers were particularly impressed with the clubs' versatility in uneven lies due to the reduction in toe and heel weight.

Available in 17, 19, 21, 25 and 30-degree lofts the Hybrids are designed to be true long iron replacements with their versatile contoured soles and a wide-bodied triangle of stability offering maximum performance and forgiveness.

A variety of high-performance shafts and shaft flexes, making the clubs suitable for players of all standards, abilities and preference, are available for each loft.

The Hybrids were rated outstanding for performance, function and technology and commended for their value.

“Praise to Ortiz for his bravado in making a cleek throwback. The compact head offers utility and niche aesthetics, and the conservative shaft lengths will translate to accuracy and consistency,” commented the magazine.

The Hybrids have also been named National Club Golfer magazine’s ‘Champion Hybrid’ of 2008 achieving a near perfect 95% in testing and have also came first in testing by the independent golf data website Rankmark.com.
